Just because our farm stand is closed for winter doesn't mean you cant enjoy the freshness of Simply Growing Food all year long! See if you are in our delivery range here!

WHO WE ARE

I am Dillon Daigle. The face behind the farm. I grew up on the land that I have slowly stewarded into Daigle Farm. Located in the heart of Brooklyn CT, we focus on sustainable and regenerative permaculture practices, striving to share fresh produce, meats, eggs, and other locally sourced products with you and our community. Offering a weekly home delivery service, we travel all over northern Connecticut bringing the freshest eats right to your door. Here at Daigle Farm our motto is,

because that's just what we do. We are dedicated to growing
REAL FOOD for REAL PEOPLE!

Our ornamental garden is coming to life with some bulbs we planted in the fall of 2024. Hyacinth, crocus, allium, tulip, and daffodill. Beautiful plants with more to come. Spring has sprung!

Dillon’s passion for the farm is always inspiring to me and im sure to alot of others too. I’ve never met someone who was so capable of taking a random idea on a Tuesday night and turning it into a thriving part of his business the following Tuesday. He is constantly finding ways to better his craft and himself.

His favorite motto is “You gotta stay positive” and I think it’s that beautiful intoxicating delusion that makes his so very special, lovable, successful, and one of a kind. His aspirations and confidence in everything he does is contagious and every project (or several) no matter how insurmountable they may seem at times, he finds a way to get them done.

So let’s celebrate Dillon and wish him a very special day and new decade of adventures. Welcome to the 30+ club, (I’ve only been here for 2 weeks but from what I can tell its a great club to be in)

Eggs are a super food and now they are super in demand. Local eggs are not only fresher, they are generally more rich in vitamins A, D, and E. Not to mention all of the essential acids and omega 3 that can be found in a tiny little egg. Prices are crazy these days and it may actually be cheaper to have some hens. We always advocate for folks to raise their own. Getting your first egg is one of the best feelings of accomplishment. We still get excited when our hens start to produce.

Eat local, eat fresh, and always know where your food comes from!

Cassidy Ball is an amazing, hard working, intelligent woman who has helped shape the farm into what it is today. Her ideas, insite, and work ethic shows here every day. Happy birthday farmer Cass! 30 trips around the sun and so many more to come. Show her some love folks!

Happy almost first day of spring! It might as well be spring here on the farm. We just got our first batch of broiler chicks in and theyre plump and healthy! A sigh of relief when getting chicks in March in New England.

Just a heads up, these are not laying hens. These little guys are the main components in our signature product. Pasture raised chicken. Come May, they will be ready for homes and families all over the quiet corner. The best part of the whole process. Getting to see folks enjoy them.

As soon as 1 month from now, these birds will be fully feathered and ready for pasture. We are striving this year to not run out of chicken! Let's hope we can accomplish this goal and keep us all fed!

We are honored to be featured in her book along with many other amazing local business in our area and can’t say enough good things about how beautiful and well crafted this book is.

This would be a really great book for your coffee table when family visits, or if you have an Air B and B and want to give some ideas on where to explore. It’s even great if you aren’t a tourist and just want to learn more about your own town and what makes it such a great place to live.

We still have some hardcover copies available for delivery if anyone is interested!

We love to hear these customer reviews!! I remember this delivery drop. I (Cassidy) was helping to alleviate the delivery load from farmer Dillon, so we divide and conquered that day. He took the Brooklyn, Killingly, Woodstock, and Mansfield orders, and I took the Sterling, Moosup, and Plainfield ones.

New stops are always fun and I love mapping out my delivery route fitting all the stops together like a Mapquest puzzle 🧩 seeing how efficient I can be. This customer was relatively easy to find and also on the way to another stop we frequent (win win). It was seamless, in and out, easy peasy.

2 stops later I finish up my deliveries and looking in my coolers, I realize I am left with an extra honey vanilla skyr…. But how? But why? But who? It didn’t take me long to look through the list of invoices 🧾 to realize I totally forgot the skyr on this new customers order.

My internal thoughts 💭 immediately were “What a dope… this is their first delivery order and I already messed it up” followed by “oh well, I am only human and luckily I have to go back that way to get home” so I let them know I was on my way back through so they didn’t think I was pulling a grinch and taking back the breakfast ham haha. 🥓

All was well and a few days later when we got this very nice and thought out review I was gleaming with joy. I love what I do and I too am very thankful to be able to offer this kind of service to our community. Thank you Alexis for the kind words and for choosing local ❤️

Farmer Cass made some awesome and super handy fire starters. Slow start in the video but keep in mind, there was no paper involved in getting this bad boy going. Beeswax soaked pine cones, with a small hemp wick wrapped around the cone. We have some available if you're interested! Bees, trees, and crafty people will keep you warm this winter!
